After attending Boston University School of the Arts and the Herbert Berghof Studio in New York, where she majored in acting, Ms. Goldman began her professional career at regional theatres in New York, Boston, Providence, R.I. and the Monterey Peninsula. In Los Angeles, she transitioned from acting to film development and production, landing the position of Story Editor, then Manager of Development at Magnusfilms, producers of the movie ANNA, which garnered an Oscar nomination for Sally Kirkland.

 

Ms. Goldman then served as Development Associate for Victoria Principal Productions at The Polone Company, a division of Hearst Entertainment, where she was involved in the development of a wide range of TV movies including: MIDNIGHT’S CHILD (Lifetime) starring Olivia D’Abo, INNER SANCTUM (ABC) starring Victoria Principal, and following that, for the Polone-Winer Company, worked on the mini-series JFK: RECKLESS YOUTH (ABC) starring Patrick Dempsey.

 

She was also Researcher on the highly acclaimed Showtime movie RIOT, with Luke Perry, Mario Van Pebbles and Cicely Tyson, which explored the social conditions leading to the 1992 Los Angeles riots. Ms. Goldman was then Development Associate and on-set Assistant to EMMY-nominated director John Patterson (THE SOPRANOS, SIX FEET UNDER) in the production of the mini-series SEDUCED BY MADNESS (NBC) with Ann-Margret and Peter Coyote, DEIDRE HALLS’ STORY (ABC) with Deidre Hall, and SEE JANE RUN with Joanna Kerns (ABC.)

 

She served as VP of Development at The Knight Company, (THE DREAM TEAM). She was responsible for bringing a number of significant projects into the company, as well as serving as Associate Producer for company projects. Ms. Goldman also served as Development Consultant for Monarch Pictures, now Skyline Pictures.

 

Ms. Goldman was Screenplay Analyst and Editor at NorthernPros.com, an online editing, promotion and literary resource website, as well as Associate Editor and Promotions Manager for the literary journal CadillacCicatrix (published by NorthernPros,) which was profiled in Carmel Magazine. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Monterey County Film Commission, and served for four years as Lead Chairperson of the Commission’s annual Screenplay Competition.

 

Ms. Goldman recently served as Fund Development and Communications Director for Sea Studios Foundation, producers of award-winning documentaries, and Development Consultant to Skyline Pictures, producers of the film NOT FORGOTTEN.

 

With producer/director Becky Best, Ms. Goldman has developed the satirical comedy THE INCORRECT MAN.
